Randy earned his honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University. After beginning his career in industry, Randy transitioned to public accounting, joining the Sloan Partners LLP in 2007. He earned his professional designation in 2014.
A native of Montreal, Randy moved to Toronto at a young age. He goes back to Montreal frequently and loves to stop in at any of the Lafleur Restaurants for a Montreal classic; steamies (Montreal-style hot dogs) and poutine. Around the office, Randy is considered a foodie. With an opinion on every restaurant and advice on what to order and what to avoid, he is the perfect lunch companion. In fact, if Randy weren’t an accountant, he’d probably be a food critic.
Randy enjoys travelling, especially to warm destinations. Las Vegas is a favourite, and not just because of the favourable weather – Randy is a skilled poker player. He was ranked 136th in the world on the World Poker Tour in 2007. His passion for poker is perhaps what makes him enjoy tax season so much. At a time when we barely see the sun because of extended hours and the Canadian winter, Randy helps lighten the mood around the office with his competitive nature always translating into a game or challenge.
